Legendary singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco celebrates the 25th anniversary of her debut live album, live in the clipwith two remastered singles, “32 Flavors” and “Willing to Fight”, which you can discover here, and a new vinyl version of the LP from the artist’s label, Righteous Babe Records.

The remastered double album will be released on July 29.

This is the first time the recording will be available on vinyl (three LPs). The collection will also include a new album cover, never-before-seen photos of Ani and her band and crew from that time over two decades ago.

Speaking of the hard-hitting live recording, DiFranco says, “You don’t know when you’re doing something if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. you don’t know if it will connect with people and make sense to them or if it will only make sense to you, in the end. while I’m creative I try to worry as little as possible about my score (because judgment can get in the way) but afterwards, of course, everything becomes clear. I understood that living in the clip touched a lot of people, that it opened doors for me and radically broadened my audience.

“It was a record that served as an entry point for so many people, in my life and my work, and so I’m very grateful that I made it. I’m grateful to all the people who helped me , especially my goatee. it was a strange decision to make – to release a double live album just as my star was rising and my studio recordings were just beginning to get distributed, but as with much of my life, some of my weirdest moves were the best ones i love living in the clip because in all its looseness it seems precise it feels native to where i’m from and where where I still live. I don’t know what this place is called but, around the time of this outing, I knew I was not alone there.

The live record is affectionately named after the state of stage amps on the brink of exploding. It was originally recorded from performances in nearly two dozen venues from 1995 to 1996, around the release of his studio album, Expand.

live in the clip was originally released on April 22, 1997 and features DiFranco, Andy Stochansky on drums, and Sara Lee on bass.

To celebrate the re-release, DiFranco is set to kick off an extensive summer tour, starting June 17 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She will be joined by supporting artists Rainbow Girls and Abraham Alexander on her June West Coast tour. Then, later in July, fellow Righteous Babe labelmates Gracie and Rachel, Zoe Boekbinder and Jocelyn Mackenzie, who reunite for a special ensemble performance as The Righteous Babes, collaborate on each other’s songs. arranged specifically for their tour with Ani.

DiFranco added, “I’m so excited to hit the road with the Just Girls, a supergroup of artists who have all found refuge under the Just Girls umbrella. all are friends and all are awesome. we are going to have fuhuuuun!

She will also perform on the road in support of renowned artist Brandi Carlile. See the full list of dates below.
