Family and fans attend rapper Takeoff’s memorial service


Friends, fans and family attended the memorial service held in honor of American rapper Takeoff on Friday at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Born Kirshnik Ball, Takeoff, member of hip hop trio Migos, was shot in Houston last Saturday.

For the memorial service, the rapper’s life and music were celebrated with activities including musical performances, prayers and poems, Daily mail reported.

Some of the musicians who have paid tribute to the late rapper include Drake, Justin Bieber, Ja Rule, Cardi B, Chlöe Bailey, among others.

In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Cardio B mourned the late rapper, saying she was heartbroken over his passing.

She wrote: “Take off, your untimely passing has brought so much pain and sorrow to so many lives.

“The impact you have had in this world has been so great and it has been hard for us to come to grips with this tragedy. I am heartbroken but grateful for all the precious memories we were able to share while you were here. here with us.

“It has truly been a nightmare and the pain is unmatched.

“The emptiness your brothers feel is unbearable and I pray that you give Offset, Quavo, and your friends and family the strength to carry on as they try to come to terms with this loss.”

In 2018, Takeoff founded Migos with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset – who is married to Cardi B.
