On The Spot, the improvised musical comedy show for 7 years now, is back on Monday nights at the Broadway Comedy Club. This month, the show is teaming up with Kari Grunberg (A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System, and By The Way, That’s Moozie) to create a spontaneous theater night like no other. .

In their usual format, On The Spot casts multiple singers to perform songs that inspire the show’s improv cast (who hear the tracks for the first time on the night) to create the book of a musical. On this occasion, Ms. Grunberg will be the sole singer of the show. With each song she sings, the performers will have to, without prior preparation, string together a coherent show…on the spot. On The Spot has in the past featured guest vocalists such as Christine Dwyer (Bad), Matt DeAngelis (Waitress), Ashley North (Cinky Boots), and Jelani Remy (That’s not too proud). They received unanimous critical acclaim, even going so far as to be dubbed “NYC’s Funniest Improv Show” by Popdust.Kari Grunberg has performed across the United States and Canada in popular musicals, movies, television shows, and in her own famous cabaret shows. It’s not his first time on On The Spot, having appeared on their standard shows several times, and his return to this new format is being welcomed by the cast and production team. a soloist. The show is always special when she shows up, so we can only imagine how much fun we’ll have with her, who is the backbone of it all,” On The Spot producer says Nathan Armstrong, “And stay tuned for more of these solo shows, we have some great things planned!” . They will understand Patrick Reydy (Boogie Manja) Jillian Vitko (Synesthesia The Musical at the Edinburgh Fringe), Teresa Morrison (Lady in the Peach Dress). and Chris Catalano (TurboTax Superbowl Commercial).
