Out East, Alexandre Birman and Sally Singer celebrated Latin American designers with luxury stores Amazon

As the esteemed co-host of The Fabulous Affair, Birman was eager to share how the special night went. “I don’t believe in chance; I believe in synergy,” Birman began, “I met Amazon’s Trisha Gregory and Tamara Lazzaroto at the Latin American Fashion Summit in Miami, and we had an instant connection that brought us here today. . I am honored to be part of the Amazon family and to represent Latin American designers, especially Brazilian designers for luxury stores. »

A longtime Birman fan, Singer recalled the first time she encountered a pair of her famous pumps. “I was at vogue when her first collection arrived, and there was such passion in the office because the shoes were both really sexy and really substantial,” Singer explained. “You could walk around all day with them, and they weren’t a derivative of anything else. It was a rare form of well-designed, stylish and comfortable shoe – so good you thought you had a secret.

“I want my shoes to be worn by everyone and last a lifetime,” smiles Birman. “Above all, I hope guests who wear my designs tonight go home with happy feet.”

Surrounded by a selection of Burmese designs, a beautiful tablescape adorned with abundant flowers in a secret garden provided the picturesque setting for the dinner. On the menu, a local Balsam farm salad and a decadent wild salmon dish were equally delicious as a starter, followed by a pea and ricotta tortellini for the main course.

Before guests bid farewell to the evening, model and singer-songwriter Karen Elson surprised everyone with a special performance. Her acoustic cover of Robyn’s hit single “Dancing on My Own” was an instant crowd pleaser. From the majestic ambiance filled with an inspiring community of leaders to the awe-inspiring art in all its forms, this garden party might be the most talked about night of the summer.
