Peter Chernin has found his new CFO.
Chernin’s The North Road Company, which was formed after paying around $200 million for the US assets of Red Arrow Studios, has hired former JPMorgan Chase Darian Singer in the role.
He will lead the integration of North Road’s assets and oversee the development of North Road’s infrastructure as it seeks to expand further. He reports to Chernin, who is chairman and CEO of North Road.
Singer was most recently a managing director at JPMorgan Chase’s Entertainment Industries group, which he joined in 2011. He previously worked for Union Bank and Dresdner Kleinwort.
The North Road Company includes the assets of Red Arrow, which include Love is blind Kinetic Content producer and The circus producer Left/Right, as well as Chernin Entertainment and Connor Schell’s unscripted venture Words + Pictures.
Chernin recently told Deadline that he thinks there is “a great opportunity to build a meaningful business.”
“Darian brings the right mix of skills and experience to North Road as we integrate and grow our business. I’m very happy to have him on board,” said Chernin.
Singer added, “It’s incredibly exciting to join North Road at such a promising and pivotal time. I look forward to leveraging North Road’s centralized resources to empower every business in its portfolio, while creating an infrastructure that enables and encourages the banner to grow even further.
