Tweet Review: ‘Pushpa’, day one, first show

The stakes are too high for Pushpa: The Rise, star of Allu Arjun, which is due in theaters today.

The film marks the reunion of director Sukumar, actor Allu Arjun and music composer Devi Sri Prasad, a successful combo in Telugu cinema, after more than 10 years.

Last-minute grueling post-production work prevented Sukumar from running any promotions. And even the main cast and crew were busy dubbing until December 10.

The responsibility for raising awareness of the film, outside of the Telugu states, and making people enthusiastic about it fell on the shoulders of the film’s main cast, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.

Over the past four days, the duo have visited Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Mumbai. They gave interviews, met fans and tried to make the headlines as much as possible.
