Wizkid is Africa’s legacy, the biggest music export – US-based Nigerian singer Shizem

Nigerian-born American singer Denzel Oluwafemi Adeniyi, known as Shizem, has described Nigerian music star Wizkid as Africa’s legacy and the biggest music export.

He said this in reaction to Wizkid’s successful remix of the song “Essence” where he featured Grammy Award-winning American artist Justin Bieber and Tems.

Bieber himself took to Instagram to officially thank WizKid for letting him jump on the remix, writing in a caption: “Thanks for letting me jump on the song of the summer. Essence is remixing now.

Speaking on Wizkid, Shizem told the DAILY POST, “Wizkid is Africa’s legacy and the biggest export of music.

“His job has undoubtedly paved the way for him on the world stage and I have never been so proud to be from the same tribe and the same country.

“It creates space and also inspires young African talents like us”

Shizem added that his upcoming single will feature one of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeat stars, although he prefers not to reveal his name until the song is released.

He added that he hopes the new song, once released, will make as much of an impression as possible and can’t wait for fans to see it.
